The Llama and the Cat

There once was a llama who thought a cat was talking to her. The cat said, “You can’t beat me at chess, so don’t even try.”

Rude, right? For years, the llama kept practicing chess, in hopes the feline disparager would one day change his mind. No matter where the llama traveled, even as far as San Franscisco, the cat would sneak in from the alley as the llama setup her chess pieces to throw his taunt. “You haven’t thought of everything,” he would hiss. One day, after hours and hours of planning her moves, the llama shook her fur vigourously and came to a startling realization.
